Girl Scouts Tap Hillenbrand as Chief Development Officer

OKLAHOMA CITY, March 14, 2023 — Candice Hillenbrand has been named Chief Development Officer for Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma. 

“Candice stepped in as interim director of development on a part-time basis for our organization late last year, so we have already benefited from her steady but tenacious leadership,” said Janienne Bella, CEO of Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma. “We are thrilled that she has accepted a full-time role with Girl Scouts. 

“As Chief Development Officer, Candice will work with community partners to raise the funds needed to provide leadership and STEM opportunities for the girls in our council.”

Hillenbrand is a seasoned nonprofit professional, business owner and community-builder. She has more than two decades of experience in diverse nonprofit development roles, individual and corporate donor relations, grants administration, annual campaigns, volunteer program management and event planning. She has served organizations including A Chance to Change, St. Luke’s United Methodist Church and the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City.

She is also owner of The Olie Gathering Place, a 50-person event space located in the heart of Oklahoma City. 

Hillenbrand earned a master’s degree in Administrative Leadership from the University of Oklahoma. She resides in Oklahoma City with her husband, Dan, and their two teenagers, Noel and Madeline.
